Kids selling lemonade is kind of an American classic image. IKEA takes a shot at it with their children’s market stand, Skylta. This one is corrogated cardboard, so might be better suited to roleplaying… unless you want to use it as a pattern for your DIY flatpack creation.

That old stand-by of kids crafts projects, the toilet paper roll, has found new life as miniature garden gnomes. Although these won’t withstand the first hard rain, they seem like a great project for the little ones with lots of room for customization.

These extra tiny garden gnomes have a modern shape that makes them a breeze to cast out of basic craft store plaster in a simple, homemade mold. You can pop out a whole village of them in an afternoon and let the kids (or yourself!) go to town decorating them.
