Morning, Corians! Final Fantasy XIV alpha testing started on April 8th, and Famitsu has their first impressions up and ready for a reading! I’ll be updating this as I get it translated, and our lovely staff will be putting the pictures up in their respective places in the translation. Dont forget there is a Labor cost to actually build it. but still, this is kinda normal for Production and cost for stuff like this. I don’t think Apple is too out of line with their price. but nice to know the actual cost.

And you thought “Eyjafjallajökull” was just a foot stool in the Spring IKEA catalog.
Remember Eyjafjallajökull? Iceland’s “lazy” volcano that was the site of wacky wiener roasts and beautiful photos featuring the Northern Lights? In that last post, reader Nash Rambler predicted that Eyjafjallajökull was simply “unmotivated” and would someday “graduate from college, throw out the bong and Snoop Dogg posters, and wipe out an Italian city”.
Well, not quite. But it has managed to ground all air traffic in the United Kingdom, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark.

Yes, I’ve seen it. Yes, I love it. No, I have not practical use for it and that doesn’t matter one bit.
Mike Pusateri sez, “This week is the NAB Conference and I saw this steampunk style VTR controller on the show floor. I thought you might get a kick out of it.
