I’m pretty sure my partner would banish this stainless steel behemoth from our home if I attempted it, but you do have to hand it to the person for a very clever solution.
I had to surrender my home office to make room for my new baby boy 😉 I took an Ikea stainless steel kitchen “work table”, some Ikea computer tower desk trays, two steel tabletops, and two grated steel shelves to make an “office” that I could pack away into a closet.

I may be a bit of a minimalist with a generous place in my heart for the simple clean lines of modern design, but was very taken with this fusion of industrial pipework and semi-processed wood (I just learned the term is “live edge”). I’m a big fan of flatpack and furniture that can be easily broken down or reconfigured. These little things look like a great way to make your own with nearly infinite variety. Chalk this one up as one of those “Why didn’t someone make these before?”
