Folks that know me well, know I have a “thing” about ironing. How could I know be excited about this clever ironing board design?

Ironing clothes on a traditional board is very far from easy. That’s because those boards were designed with… well, God knows what they had in mind when they designed them! You end up moving your wrinkly duds in all directions just to lay one part or the other flat. It’s stupid. But the Ironing Station you see above isn’t.

Given the number of spent tea bags, sitting sadly in saucers I get to see, I think this cup is nigh miraculous.

The slit in the handle keeps the tag from falling in and allows the user to squeeze the liquid out of the soaked bag simply by pulling back as you would a slingshot. Just be careful not to pop yourself in the eye!

Although the designers cite the “the feathers of Metatron” as inspiration, this building looks like something straight out of a Gibson-esque vision of Cyberpunk metropolis.  It is not without a certain beauty, but it is really hard to look at.

I like to imagine this would be what would happen if Dr. Octopus and Spiderman had a love-child… in The Matrix. Video after the cut.

Perched on the wearer’s shoulders are animated robotic limbs that eerily crawl around the body. The robotic dress both incites the curiosity of passersby by coyly dancing around the wearer’s body while at the same time protecting the wearer if somebody approaches too fast or comes to close.
