Did Ya See?

Although the designers cite the “the feathers of Metatron” as inspiration, this building looks like something straight out of a Gibson-esque vision of Cyberpunk metropolis.  It is not without a certain beauty, but it is really hard to look at.

Lovely modern design gracing the the streets of Seattle neighborhood.  I’d think the gray exterior would draw in the often overcast skies of the area, and then the bright colors would really punch up the visual impact of the house.

Located in Seattle, Washington, the KRJZ Residence is a new home built for a young couple expecting their first child. Designed by Elemental Design/Architecture, the home takes its color cues from Mondrian giving fun pops of primary colors throughout the inside and out.

The Chenequa Residence is born out of its site and is informed by the surrounding environment. The house wraps around the face of a hill and pivots around established trees. It carries stone, stained concrete and wood seamlessly through the expansive glazing to connect the interior and exterior spaces.

What an incredible concept, solar powered, potentially antonymous machine that could be used to build large, architectural structures.  Imagine these establishing basecamps for research, building infrastructure in remote or dangerous areas or even used in extra-terrestrial projects.
