I have a much simpler (and affordable) version of this rig, but I have to admit getting a little caffeinated jealousy over this lovely siphon coffee maker.

I drink more than my fair share of coffee (and so, I wash more than my fair share of dishes).  So you’re saying I can eat a tasty cookie instead of doing dishes?  I want to go to there.

I honestly don’t consider it a hassle to make coffee in a French Press and hardly feel “shackled” to the oppression of a coffee machine, but I do think this solution might be handle for picnics, short hikes, preparedness kits and other scenarios where you don’t want to worry about the usual coffee gear.
