Designer Jeff Skierka shows some nice retro audio homage with his cassette tape coffee table. You won’t even have to use a pencil to rewind.
This coffee table is a 12:1 scaled replica of a cassette tape. It is made of reclaimed maple, walnut and lucite. Dimensions are 47.25″ x 30″ x 5″ with a 3/8″ plexi top. Minimal with a light industrial touch, I like the way this twist shelving puts the emphasis on what is on the shelves. Not sure if furniture from Milan is in my budget, but the design does have me looking at DIY version. Time for a trip to Home Depot!

My weakness for “stuff that turns into other stuff” is no secret, but even I think this might be too much. Still, the irregular lines, clean design and sheer ingenuity are hard to resist.
