Guest house? Frankly, I wouldn’t mind living there full time, primary residence. Ok, so I lean towards the tiny house trend a bit more than most, but you have to admit that is one gorgeous space, inside and out.
The guest residence, located on a barrier island, is set within a mature oak hammock along Sarasota Bay. The structure is inspired by the character of the live oaks, which have been shaped by the prevailing coastal winds from the west.

Stunning piece of interior design. I love the writer’s office created by Travis Price Architects for anthropologist, ethnobotanist, author and photographer, Wade Davis’ Writing Studio. Nice touch with the “rough pipe” ladder as well. More pictures after the cut.

Three years ago I called Tom Kundig TreeHugger’s first Best of Green Architect of the year, saying:
There shouldn’t be any such thing as "green architecture"–it should be built into every building and taken for granted. It should be standard operating procedure.
