Solar Sinter solar-powered 3D printer turns sand into glass, renews our faith in higher education (video)

Where would we be without the world’s graduate art projects? In the case of Markus Kayser’s Solar Sinter, we might never have seen the day when a solar-powered 3D printer would turn Saharan sand into a perfectly suitable glass bowl. Well, lucky for us (we suppose) we live in a world overflowing with MA students, and awash in their often confusing, sometimes inspiring projects. Doing Dishes the Non-Electric Way

Shared by Mystech

Not that I need any motivation to do the dishes or be in the woods, but this thing does both.

EcoWash is your friendly dishwasher/dinner-set holder that you can take along on picnics and camping trips. Minimal styling in pure white and wood enhance its overall …

I had a great conversation with Dan this morning and he explained how his idea was born. He was looking for a way to build a unique sauna that is popular …

Aquapod Bottle Launcher is a cheap way to launch rockets

Shared by Mystech

Maybe my disposable income is rising, but I don’t really consider $25 excessive for rocketing 2 liter bottles high into the air with incredible force.

There are a million science projects out there that let you fire off some sort of rocket, or blow something up with chemical mixtures. For those of us who would prefer not to deal with […]
